Following the lead of competing burger chains, Wayback Burgers said it’s preparing to offer the first value meal in its history—the $4 BBQ Bunch.
The value meal, slated to be available throughout April, includes the fast casual’s BBQ Crunch Burger and housemade barbecue chips, which, together, would typically sell for $6.98.
“The $4 BBQ Bunch allows our guests to bite into a more wallet-friendly option while still delivering a great-tasting, top-quality burger packed with flavor,” John Eucalitto, president of Wayback Burgers, said in a statement, noting that the bundled items also play into barbecue’s trend factor.
A number of burger chains have recently transitioned away from their dollar menus in favor of new, higher-ticket value meals, including Wendy’s, McDonald’s, Carl’s Jr. and Burger King.
Fast casual The Habit recently said it won’t be joining in on the burger segment’s bundled-meal battle, choosing to instead promote its “everyday value.”
