Buffalo Wild Wings has promoted its VP of brand management to chief marketing officer.

Tristan Meline has been with the 1,200-unit full-service wings chain since September 2021. He has more than 16 years of marketing experience, including more than six years at MillerCoors, where he was marketing director for Coors Light.

“I am thrilled to lead marketing for such an iconic brand,” said Meline in a statement. “I’ve had the privilege of working with an incredible team of marketers, operators, and franchisees for the last year and a half, and I am excited to be a part of the next chapter.”

Meline replaces Rita Patel, who moved over to become CMO of B-Dubs' sister brand Arby's in October. Both are owned by Inspire Brands, which also owns Sonic, Dunkin', Baskin-Robbins and Jimmy John's.

Buffalo Wild Wings' recent TV ads have promoted the chain as a destination for football games. Ads have also focused on its new pizzas topped with boneless wings.
