Scooter’s Coffee on Monday named Malorie Maddox its new chief marketing officer.

Maddox comes to the Omaha-based drive-thru coffee chain from Blue Cross Blue Shield Nebraska. Before that, she worked for nearly two decades as a new producer and anchor at a local NBC affiliate in Omaha.

Maddox will oversee marketing initiatives that support franchisees’ customer growth while advancing Scooter’s brand. She will lead teams in brand management, field marketing, digital, social media and other marketing initiatives.

Scooter’s called her a “results-oriented leader with a track record of success across multiple industries.” The company also called her a “passionate storyteller” who will bring that capability to the coffee chain. The company said Maddox will “amplify and build upon” Scooter’s brand promise.

She joins one of the country’s fastest-growing chains. Scooter’s is 25 years old and has nearly 600 locations in 28 states.
