Alston Picked as IFEC President

TAMPA, FL - Bud Alston, vice president of business development, The Food Group, here, was elected vice president of the International Foodservice Editorial Council (IFEC) at its annual conference held last month.

"Serving IFEC is a privilege and a pleasure. I'm proud to be able to give back to this valuable organization. My membership and involvement has allowed our clients and me a forum to partner and collaborate with editors and their key foodservice industry publications. It has instilled long term client building relationships with our industry's cutting edge editors," said Alston. "Member benefits are huge and far reaching. It's a win-win situation for our clients to be able to share product related operator success stories to editors looking for an interesting and topical trend story idea."

Alston has been an IFEC member for more than seven years and was elected to the board in 2003.
