When Snoop Dogg was confronted with the news that the parent company of Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffles had filed for bankruptcy, the hip-hop star was shocked, saying he’d step in to save the Los Angeles-based chain, TMZ reports.
“I guess I’m gonna have to buy it, man, and make it Snoop Dogg’s Chicken and Waffles,” he told TMZ.
Roscoe’s filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection last week, months after a judge ordered the chain’s owner to pay $3.24 million to a former employee who sued on charges of discrimination and sexual harassment.
Snoop Dogg has referred to Roscoe’s as his “favorite spot,” even taking Larry King to one of its outposts in a segment for CNN.
