Casinelli Named Executive Vice President at Hallsmith-Sysco



Casinelli, who is currently executive vice president at Sysco Food Services of Philadelphia, LLC, will assume his new role effective Oct. 30. He succeeds John C. (Jack) Young, who is retiring from the company after 19 years of service.

Casinelli, 53, is a 27-year SYSCO veteran. He began his career in 1979 as a produce specialist at Hallsmith-Sysco Food Services and in 1987 was promoted to produce manager. In 1995 he transferred to Sysco Food Services of Connecticut as director of merchandising, was named vice president of merchandising the following year, and in 1999 he progressed to vice president of sales. He was promoted to senior vice president of sales in 2001, a position he held until 2004 when he joined the Philadelphia operation in his current capacity.

Casinelli was born in Arpino, Italy, and raised in Newton, MA. He and his wife, Patricia, have two sons and a daughter and will relocate to the Boston area in the near future.
