Compass Group Announces The Million Lb. Challenge

CHARLOTTE, NC (April 22, 2013)—On Earth Day 2013, Compass Group launched The Million Lb. Challenge, a company-wide commitment to reduce green-house gas emissions by one million pounds within the next six months.

The company's Carbon FOODPrint web system allows chefs and managers to create customized strategies to reduce their operations' carbon footprints by decreasing waste disposal, and energy and water use.
