Distributor Leaders Elected to IFDA Board

AMELIA ISLAND, FL (January 21, 2011)—Distributor members of the International Foodservice Distributors Association (IFDA) re-elected nine existing directors and elected one new director to three-year terms on the IFDA Board during an Annual Membership Meeting held at the 2011 IFDA Partners Executive Forum.

“Through involvement on the IFDA Board, we have the opportunity to really make a difference for our industry,” said Mac Sullivan, president and CEO of Pate Dawson Company and IFDA chairman, who led the meeting. “Together, we can address some of the most pressing issues facing not only distribution, but also the industry at large.

” IFDA’s work includes education, research, and representation on Capitol Hill — especially important as the Obama Administration pursues its agenda through a number of federal regulatory agencies. The IFDA Board of Directors governs the association and establishes major strategies and long-term association objectives in these areas.
