Domino’s puts tracker function on TV

Domino’s Pizza has added one more way for delivery customers to interact with the chain during its busiest day of the year.

Patrons who have a Samsung Smart TV will be able to track their delivery orders on Super Bowl Sunday via the TV screen. The extension of the online and mobile capability to TVs will enable customers to monitor the prep and delivery of an order without having to turn their attention away from the big game, Domino’s said.

The capability is available only via Samsung Smart TVs that were purchased after 2013.

Super Bowl Sunday is Domino’s busiest day of the year, with delivery orders spiking 80 percent from a routine Sunday, the chain says. About half the delivery orders fielded by the brand are now placed digitally, the franchisor added.
