Drummond Named Senior V-P at Sysco

HOUSTON - Kirk G. Drummond, vice president and chief information officer at Sysco Corp. here, has been named senior vice president, according to the distributorship.

Drummond, who will continue in his role as chief information officer, will assume his new responsibilities effective Jan. 1, 2005.

Drummond, 49, joined Sysco in 1986 as controller of the company's Grand Rapids, MI, subsidiary. In 1989 he transferred to the company's Atlanta operation as chief financial officer and controller, a position he held until 1992, when he also became vice president of finance. Drummond relocated to corporate headquarters in 1997, when he was named vice president and controller, a position he held until 2000, when he was appointed to his current role.

A 1978 graduate of the University of Arizona, Drummond has a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration. He has two children and resides in Katy, Texas, with his wife, Yvette.
