F.A.B. Membership Elects New Board of Directors



Five members of the board of directors also make up the Executive Committee.

{mosimage}Donald Suber, vice chairman and ceo of Merchants Foodservice in Hattiesburg, MS, is the newly elected chairman of the board. Suber has been with Merchants Foodservice since 1956 and the company has been a F.A.B. member since 1983. Suber has previously served a total of 11 years as the chairman of the F.A.B. Board.

"As a member of F.A.B., Inc. since 1982, I am proud to have the opportunity to be directly involved in the operations of the company and its long range growth strategy. Merchants Foodservice has seen a high return from our membership in F.A.B. and I am proud to contribute to the continued advancement and success of the cooperative," Suber said.

Mark Harman, president of Stanz Foodservice in South Bend, IN, was elected treasurer, and George Lankford, president and ceo of Affiliated Foodservice in Amarillo, Texas, was reelected secretary. Barry Pearson, president of HPC in Bristol, CT, and Steve Millikin, president of The C.D. Hartnett Co. in Weatherford, Texas, were also re-elected to the executive committee.

The other board members are: Michael Brosnan, president of Agar Supply Co. in Taunton, MA; Eric J. Joiner, president of AJC International, Inc. in Atlanta; Bill Ehlert, executive vice president of Brenham Wholesale Co., Inc. in Brenham, Texas; Bryan Saterbo, senior vice president of Colorado Boxed Beef in Auburndale, FL, John C. Young, vice president of Euclid Fish Co., Jerry McClellan, president of Frozen Food Service in Salem, IN; and Richard Snyder, president of Snyder Wholesale, Inc.

The F.A.B. board of directors is a fully elected, rotating board and each official serves a three-year term. Members can be elected to serve a second consecutive term but must then take a year off before becoming eligible for re-election.
