Family Tree Produce Joins Pro*Act

Family Tree Produce, founded in 1975 by former chef and restaurant owner Fidel Guzman, is one of the largest fresh produce distributors in Orange County, according to Pro*Act’s announcement. The company services independent restaurant operators, as well as regional and national multiunit foodservice establishments, throughout Orange, Los Angeles, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego, Santa Barbara and Ventura counties.  Family Tree’s 33,000-square-foot state-of-the art facility maintains an AIB Superior rating for food safety and security.

“As a former chef, my passion is to provide foodservice operators with the highest quality and safest products possible. By joining Pro*Act, we have enhanced our ability to do so,” Guzman commented. “Through their procurement office in Monterey, Pro*Act has established purchasing and food safety programs with the premier growers and shippers in the country. Their food safety initiative is second to none in the industry. We are very pleased to bring these advantages to our customers.”
