HFS Selects RF-SMART Mobile Distribution Solution

HFS handles the purchase, inventory and daily consolidated distribution of fresh, dry, frozen and refrigerated food and beverage products; and often delivers and stocks product while their customers’ restaurant or store units are closed. Optimizing these operations across 12 distribution centers and more than 350 trucks is critical to the success of HFS’ effective growth and diversification.

“We recognize that we have to efficiently increase our capacity to meet our objectives for growth, ever-increasing customer service excellence and eventual paperless processes,” said Haywood Solomon, ceo of the Lisle, Illinois-based company.

“RF-SMART provides us one mobile solution set automating receiving at our warehouse through delivery to the customers’ store – all integrated with our ERP system,” added Ron Kruse, chief financial officer. “With this end-to-end supply chain visibility and control, we expect to see immediate, bottom-line advances in our warehouse operations and our delivery speed and efficiency.”
