Hopco Foodservice Marketing Acquires McCormick Brokerage, Caf

TAMPA BAY (Dec. 17, 2009)—Hopco Foodservice Marketing has acquired McCormick Brokerage of Georgia and Café Inc. of the Carolinas.

With the acquisitions Hopco will achieve its goal of not just being in a market but being the preeminent sales and marketing agency in the markets it serves, said Tom Schreiber, chief executive. The company, founded in 1982 and based in Tampa, has a unit in North Carolina.

Café Inc. was founded 24 years ago. The company is based in Charlotte, N.C., and has staff in Raleigh, N.C., Columbia, S.C. and Myrtle Beach, S.C.

McCormick Brokerage was founded in 1962.

Terms of the deals were not disclosed.
