ID NEWS: FI names new president

John Connelly has been appointed president of the National Fisheries Institute (NFI), Arlington, VA, effective February 24. He succeeds Dick Gutting, who left January 3.

With a 13-year background in association work, Connelly most recently served as vice president, member relations and corporate secretary, the American Chemistry Council. He was selected from three finalists and six candidates by the NFI Search Committee.

"John will be a strong leader and a real asset to the NFI team," comments Jack Kilgore of Rich-SeaPak, who chaired the search committee.
