ID NEWS: Kraft/Alliant veteran joins W.S. Lee as cfo

W.S. Lee & Sons, Inc., Altoona, PA, has named Jack A. Peterson vice president and cfo.

Peterson's prior background includes the post of executive vice president and cfo of Kraft Foodservice, which subsequently evolved into Alliant Foodservice, Inc. All told, Peterson spent 23 years with Kraft Foods, Inc., in manufacturing, consumer product marketing, corporate finance and foodservice distribution. He entered Kraft's distribution business prior to its spin-off into a self-standing company in 1995 and took early retirement in 1998, when Alliant was at the $6.5-billion mark. (Alliant was acquired in November 2001 by U.S. Foodservice, Columbia, MD.)

Peterson reentered the workforce in 2002 with a start-up company in the Phoenix area before moving back into the foodservice distribution arena with W. S. Lee.
