ID NEWS: MDS sells Michigan facility to Reinhart

Marriott Distribution Services (MDS), Washington, has sold the assets of its
Warren, MI, facility to Reinhart Foodservice, Inc., La Crosse, WI, according
to Victor Crawford, MDS executive vice president and general manager.

Reinhart will take on the approximately $50 million worth of Elias Bros. Big
Boys business previously serviced by MDS from this facility, says
Crawford.

With this divestiture, which took place at the end of December, MDS is
entirely out of foodservice distribution. The 175,000-square-foot center in
Savage, MD, is the only piece of unfinished business: No longer servicing
any accounts, the facility is up for sale.
