IFDA & IFMA Release Pamphlet On Effective and Efficient Product Recall

To support clear understanding of what information is needed for an effective and efficient recall, the International Foodservice Distributors Association (IFDA) and the International Foodservice Manufacturers Association (IFMA) have released a complimentary pamphlet entitled Essential Information for an Effective and Efficient Product Recall. The pamphlet details the information distributors require from manufacturers in order to remove recalled product from the supply chain. It was created by a joint IFDA-IFMA food safety effort organized through the Supply Chain Optimization Resources and Execution (SCORE) initiative.

This information has been provided to IFDA and IFDA members by mail and it is recommended that this information is shared with quality assurance and other personnel involved in recall activity, as well as with supply chain partners. The pamphlet is available as a single page PDF (here), and on the home page of the IFDA website and the IFMA website.
