IFDA Invites Members to Attend 2009 Day in Washington

In a message to members, IFDA says, “This program is your opportunity to come to Washington and meet with your lawmakers to discuss the issues and help them to get to know your company and the foodservice distribution industry. This year Congress has laid out an ambitious agenda and will likely be in the midst of debating a number of issues that are crucial to the industry. Defeat of the Employee Free Choice Act is IFDA's top legislative priority and remains our primary focus. Other issues that could see action this year include a potential cap and trade energy tax, death tax, LIFO repeal, food safety, and healthcare reform.”  To register online or receive more information on the Day in Washington agenda, visit www.ifdaonlineorg.
