IFDA Recognize Sen. Richard Burr and Rep. John Kline

WASHINGTON, DC (April 26, 2012)—Members of the International Foodservice Distributors Association (IFDA) held more than 85 congressional meetings on Capitol Hill during the April 24-25 IFDA Washington Insight & Advocacy Conference. The annual event allows foodservice distributors to hear directly from regulators and lawmakers about developing policies and includes advocacy visits to lawmakers on Capitol Hill.

This year’s even also featured the presentation of The IFDA Thomas Jefferson Awards, which recognize lawmakers who support free market principles as demonstrated by each lawmaker’s voting record.* In total, IFDA is presenting 292 Thomas Jefferson Awards to members of the 112th Congress. IFDA members presented a number of the awards during Capitol Hill visits.
