Jeff Carcara named president of Barteca Holdings

The parent company of the Barcelona Wine Bar and Bartaco restaurant concepts has named Jeff Carcara president.

Carcara had been COO of Del Frisco’s Restaurant Group until his resignation from that post last week. He brings deep operational experience to his new post at Barteca Holdings, having earlier served as senior director of operations for Darden Restaurants’ Seasons 52 chain.

Barcelona, a full-service concept that specializes in tapas, ranked No. 22 on Restaurant Business’ Future 50 list of the industry’s fastest-growing small and mid-sized chains. It currently operates 12 units.

Bartaco is an eight-unit taqueria chain with an extensive array of tequilas.

Both chains are fully owned and operated by Barteca.
