Kite Elected IFDA Treasurer

Kite succeeds Martin J. Whelan of Ettline Foods Corp. who has held the position of treasurer on the IFDA Board since February of 2003.

"Marty has been a tremendous asset to both IFDA and the industry," stated IFDA President and CEO Mark Allen. "He has provided financial leadership in his role as treasurer, has been instrumental in promoting the association's political priorities by working with his elected representatives and testifying on Capitol Hill, and has been generous with his time and counsel."

During the meeting, the Board also elected two industry executives as directors to fill recent vacancies. Kent Berke, senior vice president of Vistar Corp., Englewood, CO, filled the board seat of Pat Mulhern, and Larry Pulliam, executive vice president, merchandising services at Sysco Corp., Houston, filled the board seat of Thomas Lankford. The terms of Berke and Pulliam will conclude in February 2007.
