Los Angeles-based pizza concept Fresh Brothers has named an industry veteran as its CEO.

Geoffrey Goodman, who has previously worked with CiCis and Round Table Pizza, will work to grow the 20-unit chain, the company announced Thursday.

Goodman has also worked for Rita’s Italian Ice, Bruster’s Real Ice Cream and Remarkable Brands Co. LLC.

Fresh Brothers is known for serving pizzas to suit a range of dietary preferences, including vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options.

“Fresh Brothers’ premium product, dedicated fan base and brand ethos stand out in a crowded pizza field,” Goodman said in a statement. “I’m thrilled about the opportunity to continue on the great foundation that has been built.”

The chain received a major investment from Nolan Capital in 2016, with the goal of expanding the chain to 50 units by 2021.
