The International Foodservice Manufacturers Association has revealed the 2018 winners of its annual Silver Plate awards.
The nine recipients—each of whom took the top prize in their respective foodservice segment—include three from the restaurant industry:
- Independents/MCOs: Craig Huse, co-proprietor of St. Elmo Steak House in Indianapolis
- Chain, full service: Gene Lee, CEO of Darden Restaurants
- Chain, limited service:Paul Brown (pictured above), CEO of Arby’s (and Restaurant Business’ 2017 Restaurant Leader of the Year)
The honorees were named at IFMA’s annual Chain Operators Exchange, held in Las Vegas.
From the nine, one will be selected as the winner of IFMA’s Gold Plate award to be presented on May 19, according to a press release. Chef and restaurateur Wolfgang Puck took home that honor last year.
