PJW Restaurant Group names a COO

PJW Restaurant Group, parent company of PJ Whelihans and five other concepts, has promoted Jessica Breslow to chief operating officer, the company announced this week.

Breslow has led marketing and IT for the Westmont, N.J.-based company since 2016.

“Jessica has been my strategic partner leading the essential planning, innovation and operations for us for the last five years,” CEO Jim Fris said in a statement.

Fris previously served as COO before being named to the top post in 2018. He took over from PJW’s founder Bob Platzer.

Before joining PJW, Breslow was an associate vice president with Aramark. She also worked for the Ford Motor Company.

“I’m thrilled and excited to take on this expanded role partnering with Jim, as we take on our next challenge to build, invest in our people and improve the customer experience,” Breslow said in a statement. “Our ability to collaborate, innovate and execute at scale will help drive the future growth of our organization.”

PJW was launched in 1983. In addition to PJ Whelihans pub and restaurant, its portfolio includes upscale steak and seafood concept The ChopHouse, casual Italian restaurant Treno Pizza Bar, craft beer specialist The Pour House, modern Mexican brand Central Taco and Tequila, and seasonally inspired concept ChopHouse Grille.
