Smoothie King has promoted COO Dan Harmon to the additional post of president as part of a leadership realignment.

In his new role, Harmon will be responsible for marketing and technology as well as operations for the 1,000-unit chain, Smoothie King said in announcing the changes.

Two other executives were also promoted.

Kevin King, formerly chief development officer, moves up to chief business development officer, with responsibility for seeking partnerships with health and fitness brands as well as acquisitions, according to Smoothie King.

CMO Rebecca Miller has assumed the additional post of head of field marketing. She will now work with franchisees and field support teams to implement strategic initiatives coming out of headquarters, Smoothie King explained.

“Smoothie King has experienced incredible growth over the last couple years, and we want to capitalize on the enormous opportunity that lies ahead,” CEO Wan Kim said in a statement. “These moves to our leadership team put our franchise in the best position to do just that.”
