Maines Paper purchase of David Puccia Co. Complete

NEW YORK (March 4, 2011)—Maines Paper and Food Service Inc., Conklin, closed the purchase of David Puccia & Co., a company official said Thursday.

Maines said in January it will merge the operations of the former CFM Food Distributors Inc. into Puccia and operate the business as Maines Watertown, a division of Maines Paper and Food Service Inc.

Also, Maines has no interest in buying a Salvation Army building, 913-919 Arsenal St., despite what has been reported on the website newzjunky.com.

According to a report from the Watertown Daily Times, Stephanie Wyatt, vice president of human resources, categorically denied a story written by Timothy W. Scee II that Maines is in talks to buy the Salvation Army building.
