Manhattan Bagel, Einstein Bros Phasing out MDS distribution

New World Restaurant Group, Eatontown, NJ, has extended its national contract with Marriott Distribution Services (MDS), Washington, DC, until agreements are completed with other distributors or until December 1, 2002, consistent with "Marriott's stated intentions to exit the distribution business in the U.S."

The first regional agreement has already been signed: Willow Run Foods, Inc., Kirkwood, NY, has a five-year contract to distribute frozen dough and other products to 222 franchised, licensed and company-owned Manhattan Bagel and Einstein Bros. locations in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic markets.
