This annual award recognizes an individual for outstanding contributions to his company, industry, and community. The Industry Service Award is FSMA's highest honor, and is the only national award presented to a member of the foodservice sales agency community.

McIntyre was nominated by his peers among FSMA's membership to receive this award, and approved by both the FSMA Nominating Committee and Board of Directors. Recognized as a leader and an innovator, McIntyre has pioneered many initiatives within his company, has demonstrated a willingness to adapt to industry change, and has volunteered his time and energy to better the industry. Bruce has served on numerous committees and task forces, including serving as chairman of FSMA's Board of Directors in 2000-01.

Rick Abraham, FSMA president and ceo, presented McIntyre with his award, and commented: "Bruce is a true pioneer, seeking to raise the bar for all of us. His hard work and effort have led to numerous innovations within his company and our industry."

In accepting the award, McIntyre said, "To have been chosen to receive this award from my peers is truly the honor of a lifetime. I am very proud to be a part of this industry and very grateful for the support of this association, our clients, and all of the wonderful associates at McIntyre Sales. My thanks to each of you."
