McLane Buys Virginia Land for Future DC



McLane Foodservice, which currently leases 100,000 sq. ft. on Wellington Road, intends to begin construction of a 235,000-sq.-ft. distribution center in early 2007.

McLane will hire nine new employees initially and intends to add an additional 59 jobs by 2010. Announced investment for the project is approximately $30 million.

The Manassas Foodservice Distribution Center services operators in Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina, West Virginia, Pennsylvania and the District of Columbia.
