After a two-year pandemic pause, the National Restaurant Association Show on Thursday announced that more than 1,000 companies have signed on to exhibit at the 2022 event.

Some 1,055 companies have renewed their exhibition space for next year’s show and a number of new exhibitors have signed on.

“For 2022, we are seeing a lot of momentum with both new exhibitors and returning exhibitors we are excited to welcome back,” Tom Cindric, president of Winsight Exhibitions, said in a statement.  "We are seeing new solutions across all of our product categories and are excited to feature new companies entering the foodservice space in our reimagined Startup Alley. We can’t wait to bring our community back together in 2022 with renewed energy and three-years’ worth of innovation and collaboration.”

Those exhibitors currently total more than 500,000 net square feet of exhibit space.

The Show will be held May 21-24, 2022, at Chicago’s McCormick Place Convention Center.

This will be the first in-person Show since 2019. Following the pandemic-forced cancelation of the 2020 trade show, organizers developed The Show To Go, an online resource of searchable products and supplier profiles; free educational sessions led by industry influencers; and more. Content is grouped within seven different tracks, including Culinary Insights, Operations Solutions, Technology & Innovation and more. This year-round marketplace is free for industry professionals.

“While we haven’t been able to do business or learn together in person, we have made it a priority—through The Show To Go—to continue to provide our industry with information, resources, and connections to power our industry forward until we meet again in 2022,” Cindric said in a statement. “The Show To Go will continue to be an important digital resource for our Show community moving forward.”

The National Restaurant Association Restaurant, Hotel-Motel Show is owned and operated by Winsight LLC, the parent company of Restaurant Business, in equity partnership with the National Restaurant Association.
