Phillips Foods Joins Tsunami Relief Effort with Boat-Building Project

BALTIMORE - Phillips Foods, Inc., and Seafood Restaurants, a worldwide seafood company headquartered here, has entered the tsunami relief campaign by organizing "Operation Build-a-Boat" for the people of the devastated countries, according to the company.

Phillips Foods, like other U.S.-based companies, had a personal connection to the region destroyed by tsunami that hit Asia on Dec. 26, 2004. Many of the company's plants, employees and their families were affected by the devastation that swept the islands.
