Pot proponents seek OK for smoking outside bars

Voters in November might be deciding if it's OK to allow pot use at bars and other private social venues, according to backers of an initiative.

Organizers of the Denver Campaign for Limited Social Cannabis Consumption — also known as the Campaign for Limited Social Use, say they've obtained 8,000 signatures to put the initiative on November's ballot, or 3,300 more than required, according to the Associated Press.

Under the initiative, bar customers would be allowed to smoke pot outdoors, away from public view, if the bar and clean-air laws allowed it. They'd be allowed to use vaporized marijuana or edibles inside the bar.
