Randt Promoted at Sysco

HOUSTON - Thomas P. Randt has been named assistant vice president of employee relations for Sysco Corp. here, the company announced.

Randt will be responsible for the company's proactive employee relations efforts in North America and will provide support to Sysco's broadline and specialty operating companies as they become employers of choice for current and future associates. Randt, who is currently senior director of employee relations, will assume his new duties effective July 4, the beginning of distributorship's fiscal year 2005.

Randt, 51, joined Sysco in 1984 as associate general counsel. In 1998 he progressed to director of employee relations and in 1997 he was appointed to his current position. He is a member of the Texas Bar Association, the Houston Bar Association and the American Bar Association.

Randt, a native of Cleveland, Ohio, is a 1974 graduate of Colgate University, located in Hamilton, NY, where he earned a bachelor of arts degree in history. He is also a graduate of Southern Methodist University, located in Dallas, where he was awarded a juris doctor in 1978 and a master of business administration degree in 1979. He and his wife, Kim-Kay, have two children and reside in Houston.
