Red Robin names Jonathan Muhtar CMO

Red Robin said it has appointed Jonathan Muhtar chief marketing officer of the casual-dining chain. 

Muhtar, who will lead Red Robin’s marketing and menu strategy, most recently served as CMO of the Captain D’s fast-casual seafood chain, and previously held strategy and marketing roles at Burger King.

"Jonathan's proven track record of developing and leading powerful marketing teams and his extensive experience in the restaurant industry will be invaluable in driving Red Robin's business results," Denny Marie Post, Red Robin’s chief concept officer, said in a statement. "In addition to his leadership talents, Jonathan's infinite curiosity, passion for taking on big challenges and combination of solid analytical and creative thinking will serve us well as we continue to build our brand and deliver a great guest experience."
