We did a leadership retreat recently and we used a book titled “Strengths Finder.” It’s part of the Gallup system and you can buy the book online for $15. In the back of the book is a test that can be taken online; it’s a $5,000 test that you get free with the price of the book. It provides tools for identifying your strengths. People are always saying, ‘Here are your weaknesses, focus on them.’ If you take people’s weaknesses and develop them, it can be frustrating. But if you focus on and develop people’s strengths, they’ll do much better.
