Starbucks expands its mobile pre-ordering service

Starbucks expanded its Mobile Order & Pay service on Tuesday to an additional 21 states in the southern and central United States.

The app-based service enables customers to place an order remotely via their smartphones, pay for it at the same time, and then pick up their orders at the store.

The expansion raises the extent of the program to 4,000 stores. Starbucks said it plans to have the option available systemwide by the end of the year.
