Starbucks aims to appeal to the growing number of heat-seeking customers by adding two spicy items to its sandwich lineup.

A chorizo, egg and Monterey Jack sandwich and an ancho-chipotle chicken panini will be available in U.S. stores starting Tuesday, Starbucks said.

“We saw an opportunity to create sandwiches with bold flavors,” Sita Kacker, Starbucks’ product development manager, said in a statement. “Chorizo is popular right now and spicy is on trend, so this guided our direction.”

Starbucks has noted that innovation around food offerings is central to its plans for growth. The chain said food revenues grew 19 percent during the most recent financial quarter, with its breakfast sandwich business doubling over the last three years.
