Sysco Buys Long Island Warehouse

Sysco had previously planned to build a 375,000-square-foot distribution center and headquarters in Yaphank, New York, but will now build it at the Central Islip site after the existing building is demolished.  The building, which had been owned by a private investor, formerly housed C&S Wholesale Grocers.
Sysco reportedly plans to incorporate locally, becoming Sysco Food Services of Long Island.
