Sysco, Clark announce appointments

Sysco Corp., Houston, has named Ronald G. Boatwright president and Andrew L. Malcolm chairman of the company's four Texas-based Freedman Meats, Inc., operations. Boatwright most recently was vice president of Freedman Meats and also is a board member of the National Association of Meat Purveyors and the Texas Restaurant Association's Educational Foundation.

Malcolm will continue as president of Sysco's two Malcolm Meat operations and will have responsibility for all Sysco specialty meat companies in the Midwest. He joins Howard Halpern and Timothy Hussman, both of whom were named chairmen, respectively, of Sysco's East and West Coast specialty meat operations earlier this year.

At the same time, Clark National, Inc., Elk Grove Village, IL, has promoted Dan Danford to division president at its Cadillac, MI, division. Also, Eric Peabody, previously corporate director of marketing with Bunzl Distribution, St. Louis, has joined the company as division president in Carteret, NJ.
