Taco Bell tests a new double taco

Taco Bell is testing a new line of 99-cent double tacos called Colliders, so named because they bring two very different tastes or textures into collision, according to restaurant analyst Mark Kalinowski.

Kalinowski, the analyst for Janney Capital Markets, informed clients this morning that the test is underway in southern California. He cited such Collider variations as Spicy + Cool and Cheesy + Crunchy.

Although apparently intended as a bargain item, the Colliders are also available as part of a $5.99 meal that includes a hard shell taco, a burrito and a drink.
