Technomic, GMI to Provide Enhanced Syndicated Consumer Research on Restaurants

The move supports Technomic's ongoing development of its syndicated consumer research program ROOT (Restaurant Occasions Ongoing Tracking). Technomic said its ROOT program is unique in the food industry in that it provides in-depth insights and analysis on how consumers choose the restaurants they visit.

In conjunction with the agreement, Michael Allenson, Technomic's director of consumer research, will join GMI as vice president, syndicated research.

"While Michael will be leaving the Technomic team, we look forward to continuing our partnership with him as we grow and enhance the ROOT program," said Ron Paul, Technomic president.

"We're extremely pleased to have Michael on board," commented Rob Monster, GMI founder and ceo, "and we are excited to have Technomic as a launch partner in our syndicated research offering. Technomic's content will provide an excellent resource for anyone looking for syndicated foodservice research, not just in the U.S., but throughout the world."
