Technomic, iFranchise to Study Improving Chain Restaurants' Profitability

CHICAGO - Technomic, Inc., and iFranchise Group announced Thursday, Dec. 18, plans to launch a study designed to help chain restaurants enhance their competitive positions through improved franchise relationships.

"This study will provide invaluable tools for franchise-based chain restaurant organizations that want improved results," states Ron Paul, president of Technomic. "It offers the perfect road map for enhancing and improving franchise relations."

By combining the complementary skills and experience of the two firms, the program is expected to provide new and valuable insights on the critical performance factors facing franchisors and their franchisees.

The specific objectives of the research project, titled "Strategies for Improving Franchise Relations - Leveraging the Critical Performance Factors," are:

* To uncover the most effective strategies and tactics for developing and maintaining strong relationships between franchisors and their franchisees.

* To understand how leading franchisors establish and maintain policies and measures for developing successful franchisee relations.

* To identify the issues most critical to franchisees in developing and maintaining strong relationships with their franchisor.

* To recommend sponsor-specific action steps for improving overall profitability through enhanced franchisee relations.
