New York is the top American city for an “elite” dining experience to cap off a trip, or so implies a new U.S. restaurant ranking from travel site TripAdvisor—a list of users’ top 10 fine-dining spots that includes three in the Big Apple alone.

“We tapped the TripAdvisor community to help us serve up the top fine-dining restaurants around the globe because an exceptional dining experience can be the highlight of a trip or a special occasion,” TripAdvisor CMO Barbara Messing says. “These elite dining establishments have earned the highest praise from travelers for their remarkable cuisine and commitment to service.”

The travel site put together its Travelers’ Choice list using restaurant reviews compiled over a yearlong period.
