U.S. Foodservice EDI Interface Now Available for ChefTec Software Users

Technology provider Culinary Software Services has introduced a seamless electronic data interchange (EDI) interface with USF as add-on functionality to ChefTec and CorTec. The company will demonstrate the new USF EDI functionality at the National Restaurant Association Show, May 16 – 19, at booth #4252.

Previously, all U.S. Foodservice ordering was completed through a separate online program or as a paper and pencil process facilitated by a DSR. The new EDI interface enables ChefTec and CorTec users to electronically place orders directly from ChefTec to USF. In addition, the interface will electronically confirm orders and provide invoices, all without leaving the ChefTec or CorTec software program.

"The U.S. Foodservice EDI interface functionality is a win-win situation for the foodservice industry," stated Brian Bennett, president of Culinary Software Services. "Not only does it save ChefTec users money, but it also reduces time spent on purchasing and ordering by up to five times. In today's teetering economy, it is vital for foodservice operations to find ways to save time and money while reducing back-office processes."
