Beef ‘O’ Brady’s, Brass Tap offer $100 bonus for vaccines

The brands’ franchisor will reimburse franchisees who opt to pay the incentive.

Sister chains Beef ‘O’ Brady’s and The Brass Tap are offering to pay unit-level employees $100 for getting vaccinated against COVID-19, an incentive that trumps the encouragement now virtually standard in the industry of providing paid time off for the inoculations.

The offer also extends to employees of The Hatchery, a single-unit fast-casual operation that’s also part of the fold.

Franchisees who pay the bonus will be reimbursed by the concept’s franchisor, but are not required to provide the incentive, according to the chain’s parent company, FSC Franchise Co. The payment is made in the form of a gift card.

The offer is intended to thank employees for getting the shots as much as it is to encourage volunteering for the inoculations, FSC said.

The idea was hatched by Florida Beef ‘O’ Brady’s franchisee Chris Overbeck.
