COI Deploys Amphire System

REDWOOD SHORES, CA - COI Foodservice Distribution has deployed the Amphire Connect system to electronically enable transactions with its entire supplier base, announced the software provider here.

COI, based in Nashville, TN, enabled the first supplier transactions 20 days after selecting the program.

With Amphire Connect, COI will be able to leverage trading relationships with more than 300 suppliers. By converting manual processes in order management, logistics, and payment processes to Connect, COI will "significantly reduce" costs and eliminate errors, according to an Amphire spokesman.

COI is a multi-facility, systems distributor and supplier which delivers to more than 1,200 restaurants in 37 states.

"COI shares Amphire's vision of a fully enabled supply chain," said Jerry Baldwin, senior vice president for sales and supply chain management. "Amphire's technology platform will bring efficiencies to our supply chain that directly affect our bottom line. Over 50% of our suppliers are already signed with Amphire which makes Amphire a natural choice for our company."

"We are pleased that COI Foodservice has decided to work with Amphire along with many other leading independent ID Top 50 distributors," said Mark Barnekow, president and ceo of Amphire Solutions. "COI Foodservice will immediately be able to take advantage of the many benefits offered by Amphire."
