Gottfried Named Ass't Merchandising V-P at Sysco



Gottfried currently serves as director, merchandising, in the beverage department and will assume his new position effective immediately.

Gottfried joined Sysco in 2004 in his current role. Prior to becoming associated with Sysco, he held various sales managerial positions in the beverage industry. While he was employed with Sun Orchard, Inc., as national sales director from 2000 to 2003, he led that company's relationship with Sysco, earning Sun Orchard the honor of being chosen one of the distributor's Top 100 Suppliers.

Born in La Grande, OR, Gottfried has spent most of his life in the Chicago, Los Angeles and Phoenix areas. He earned a Bachelor of arts degree from the University of Wisconsin in Madison in 1991 and received an MBA in 2004 from Thunderbird, The Garvin School of International Management. He and his wife, Ginggan, are residents of Houston.
