Burger King franchisee Carrols Restaurant Group on Monday named Anthony Hull its new chief financial officer.

Hull will take over on Jan. 2 for Timothy LaLonde, who was named interim CFO in September following the death of Paul Flanders.

Dan Accordino, CEO of Syracuse, N.Y.-based Carrols, called Hull “a fantastic addition” to the executive team and said he has “well-established credentials and experience.”

Hull most recently was senior advisor on corporate strategy for Realogy Holdings Corp. and had been its chief financial officer from 2006 through 2018. He guided the real estate company’s financial strategy during the housing downturn, as well as a sale to private equity in 2007 and an initial public offering in 2012.

Before that, he was executive vice president, finance, for Cendant Corp., and had worked with companies such as DreamWorks, King World Productions and Morgan Stanley.

Carrols operates more than 1,000 Burger King locations as well as 61 Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen units.
