McDonald’s USA has selected the distributor The Anderson-DuBose Co. as its 2021 U.S. Supplier of the Year, citing the support provided by the minority-owned hauler during the pandemic and recent natural disasters.
“Anderson-DuBose went so far above and beyond its support of the McDonald’s system that it is nearly impossible to quantify the full extent of their impact,” McDonald’s USA President Joe Erlinger said in a statement. “They were involved in nearly every aspect of the Covid-19 crisis and recovery, coped with a record year of natural disasters and continuously supplied our U.S. restaurants.”
Cleveland, Ohio-based Anderson-DuBose supplies paper and food products to 450 McDonald’s restaurants in New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. The family owned business has been in operation for 30 years. All of its accounts are serviced out of facilities in Lordstown, Ohio, and Rochester, N.Y.
“This accomplishment is even more meaningful because of the commitment, grit and loyalty our team demonstrated in overcoming the many challenges that the COVID-19 pandemic presented during the year,”Warren Anderson, Anderson-DuBose’s CEO and founder, said in a statement.
McDonald’s USA’s Supplier of the Year award is presentedbiennially to vendor that had the most significant impact in the prior year to the burger giant’s domestic operations. According to McDonald’s, the criteria include a commitment to quality and food safety; a penchant for innovation; exemplary service; and value.
